15-Minute Workouts at Work

If (like most people) your schedule is busy then you may have to fit some of your workouts into your workday. While it’s generally most effective to get your 15-minute workout done all at once, it’s better to break it up into two or three pieces if you have to. (When it comes to exercise and fitness, doing something is almost always better than doing nothing.)

So, for example, if you get to work a few minutes before your shift starts, make use of that time. Don’t just sit at your desk or workstation waiting to clock in. Instead, get up and take a walk around the inside of your office. If there are stairs in your building, go up and down a couple of flights before you start working. (As an added bonus, getting your blood flowing in the morning may help jump-start the beginning of your workday.)

Similarly, if it’s customary in your office for people to take coffee (or smoking) breaks, leverage that time has a way to help you get in some more on your 15-Minute workout.

Lunch breaks are usually the most reliable and best time to do a 15-minute workout during your workday.
